Celtic readying move for £8 million-plus goalkeeper
Who will be Joe Hart's replacement at Celtic next season? That is one of the major questions that the Hoops need to find an answer to soon. The Englishman had been their starting goalkeeper for the previous three campaigns, winning seven trophies during that period of time. Replacing him will not be an easy task by any stretch of the imagination.
Unsurprisingly, Celtic have been linked with a long list of goalkeepers in recent times. Now, it remains to be seen who they ultimately end up signing.
Will it be someone whose name has been doing the rounds of the rumour mill all this time? Or perhaps one out of the left field that nobody sees coming? Let's see. One clear favourite does seem to be emerging in recent days though.
As reported by the Daily Record, Celtic will make another move to sign Peter Vindahl Jensen. The Hoops have been trying to strike a deal for several weeks but Sparta Prague are reluctant to part with him and would want a fee in excess of £8 million. The Scottish champions still believe a deal can be done and will make another push.

Vindahl Jensen might not be a household name, at least in Scottish football circles. But he certainly appears to be very highly rated.
One can only hope that Celtic get the recruitment right this time around. They simply cannot afford a repeat of the Vasilis Barkas saga to be very honest.
Let's see how things play out in their search for a goalkeeper this summer. It is certainly one of the most important positions on the pitch. And ideally, one would hope they bring in someone who has leadership qualities and experience as well, in order to fill Hart's void in the team.
