Celtic ready to submit transfer bid for £5m player this summer
Celtic are expected to make moves in the upcoming summer transfer window, no matter how they finish this campaign, with a double still up for grabs. Most of the transfer headlines surrounding the club are about goalkeepers and understandably so with Joe Hart set to retire at the end of the season. But there are other positions where they need to strengthen as well.
One of them is striker. Kyogo seems to have remained the first-choice striker at Celtic despite the departure of Ange Postecoglou. But the cover position seems to be one still in doubt.
Adam Idah has taken up that role since arriving from Norwich City in the winter. But he is only on loan until the end of the season and Celtic do not have a buyout clause included in the deal either.
On the other hand, Oh Hyeon-gyu has barely featured in the second half of the campaign. It would not be a surprise if the South Korean striker left in the summer, with him seemingly not having a place in Brendan Rodgers' plans.

So, what will Celtic do about their striker situation in the summer? Well, it looks like the club will at least try to make Idah's stay in Glasgow a permanent one.
As reported by Football Insider, Celtic are ready to submit a summer transfer bid for Idah. They are keen to sign the on-loan Norwich City striker permanently.
It is believed that it would take a transfer fee around £5 million to sign Idah permanently from Norwich City. It remains to be seen if Celtic put in an offer in the region. The Irishman has done a pretty good job since arriving in the winter but there are still areas where he can improve further with time.
