Celtic made some brilliant signings during the time of Ange Postecoglou as manager of the club. The 2021/22 campaign was truly out of this world in terms of recruitment with players like Jota, Kyogo, Matt O'Riley, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda, Josip Juranovic, Liel Abada, Giorgos Giakoumakis, Carl Starfelt and more being brought in.

The same cannot be said about Celtic's recruitment in the following season, which fell far short of expectations. The only two signings which worked out were that of Aaron Mooy and Alistair Johnston. Admittedly, Tomoki Iwata is starting to do well after more than a year at the club.

One of the signings Celtic made during the summer of 2022 was Benjamin Siegrist. With the former Dundee United goalkeeper being available as a free agent, it seemed like a no-brainer to bring him to Parkhead.

Many even believed that Siegrist would eventually move ahead of Joe Hart in the pecking order. That never happened and never will, with the Englishman set to retire. On the other hand, the Swiss goalkeeper looks set to be on his way out of the club as well.

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic are indeed ready to listen to offers for Siegrist this summer. He has a contract until 2026.

Siegrist leaving will not come as a major blow for Celtic, as he has barely featured since joining the club. But it does feel like the entire goalkeeping department could end up being replaced this summer.

Scott Bain might join Hart and Siegrist out the exit door. His current deal with the club is set to run out this summer as well and it has been a long time since he has played any meaningful amount of football for the Hoops.
