Celtic plot move to re-sign former player this summer
Celtic are expected to make additions in several positions across the pitch this summer. Most of the speculation has been about their next number one, with Joe Hart retiring at the end of last summer. There has been plenty of talk about the forward line as well because Adam Idah's future is uncertain. He was only on loan from Norwich City, who look set to have another look at the Irishman with a new manager in place before making any decision.
The Celtic midfield department might end up undergoing some changes as well though. Matt O'Riley has been constantly linked with a move away in recent times.
On the other hand, Paulo Bernardo spent the season on loan as well and it remains to be seen if Celtic end up signing him on a permanent basis from Benfica. There has ben some speculation around the future of Odin Thiago Holm as well, as he rarely got chances in his debut campaign with the club.
On the other hand, it looks like the Hoops have their eyes on one of the former players. As reported by Football Insider, Celtic are considering a move to re-sign Stuart Armstrong after his release from Southampton at the end of the season.

Armstrong came up through the ranks at Dundee United before spending several seasons at Celtic. During this time, he worked under the management of Brendan Rodgers as well.
Armstrong ended up joining Southampton in 2018 and had been a regular feature for the English club since then. But he now finds himself without a club.
Of course, Armstrong is still just 32 years of age and is performing at a high level. So, there would not be any lack of options for him this summer.
