Celtic player turns down chance to leave the club
Most of the speculation surrounding Celtic has been about potential arrivals this summer. At the same time, there are some players who could head in the opposite direction and depart the Glasgow club. We have seen the likes of Matt O'Riley, Kyogo Furuhashi and several being linked with moves away from Parkhead.
Another player whose future at the club appears to be clouded in uncertainty is Maik Nawrocki. The Polish defender was signed last summer and was viewed as the one to replace Carl Starfelt.
So far, he has not gotten a run in the Celtic starting XI though. And there being speculation that the club want to sign another centre-back this summer, one has to wonder where he will find himself in Brendan Rodgers' pecking order next season.
For the time being, it looks like the youngster has not given up on his future at Parkhead yet. As tweeted by Sebastian Staszewski, Legia Warsaw was, perhaps is, interested in signing Nawrocki on loan from Celtic. Director Jacek Zielinski has contacted the defender, but he does not want to change the club for now. However, if he had problems with playing regularly during the preparation period, the issue may come back.

Celtic were believed to have shelled out a transfer fee around €5 million to sign Nawrocki. So, one would hope that he turns out to be a success story at Parkhead.
At the same time, considering how little playing time he has gotten since joining the club, one has to question Celtic's recruitment. It feels like they have gotten it wrong once again.
It might be a bit too early to completely count out Nawrocki though. We all know how Scales' debut season turned out at Celtic and look at him now. Let's see if the Polish defender is able to turn things around too.
