Celtic player pictured dining with Hollywood star

Hollywood seems to be the theme of the day for Celtic. Earlier, we saw a picture of Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, alongside a WWE faction named Gallus, two of whom were wearing the club's retro jerseys. And now, one of the current players has been pictured dining with a Hollywood actress.

The player in question is none other than Benjamin Siegrist. Some people might have forgotten that he is still at the club and understandably so because the Swiss goalkeeper has not made a single appearance under the management of Brendan Rodgers. Overall, he has played just twice for Celtic since arriving in 2022.

Siegrist was recently photographed dining with Rebel Wilson and three others. The Hollywood actress posted the picture on her Instagram story.

Wilson is a well-known Australian actress. She has had voice roles in movies like Ice Age: Continental Drift and Kung Fu Panda 3. She has also acted in the Pitch Perfect franchise, Ghost Rider, Jojo Rabbit and many other films.

Of course, Siegrist and Wilson being pictured together would not have been on most people's bingo cards. So how do the two know each other?

The connection between Wilson and Siegrist appears to be the Celtic goalkeeper's girlfriend, Brittney Hockley. The two have been photographed together in the past as well and appear to be friends.

Siegrist's future at Celtic has been a topic of discussion recently as well. Since joining the club in the summer of 2022, the Swissman has never been handed a enough opportunities. The initial expectations were that he could eventually replace Joe Hart or at least be the club's cup goalkeeper. But none of that has materialised and a summer exit feels likely. Aberdeen could be a possible destination for him.
