Celtic have struggled to find any kind of consistency this season. Fans would have been hoping that the comfortable win over Hibernian was the start of a good run of form. Instead, the Hoops lost the very next game, a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Kilmarnock away at Rugby Park, the same fixture which had seen them get eliminated from the Scottish League Cup earlier in the campaign.

The first 45 minutes were actually pretty good for the Hoops. They looked the better team by far and should have been more than just a goal up going into the break.

Things changed after the break though. Kilmarnock found their feet and were actually the better team in the second half and by some distance. They ultimately won 2-1 and nobody can say it was not a deserved victory.

As for Celtic, they have more questions than answers at the moment. Rodgers might have been perfect domestically during his first stint as the club's manager, but questions are already being raised about the Northern Irishman this time around. And someone of his experience will know that changes are needed quickly.

Not many Celtic players shined at Rugby Park. But even then, one player who was heavily criticised is Nat Phillips. The Liverpool loanee scored an own goal and was shaky at the back, especially in the second half.

Phillips is only on a half-season loan at Celtic Park and is expected to return to Liverpool in January. It would have made sense to start him if he was performing well, but unfortunately, that has not been the case.

Phillips has not really looked impressive at any point this season. And it might be time to give starts to the likes of Maik Nawrocki and Gustaf Lagerbielke in place of him, two players on long-term deals at Parkhead.
