Celtic saw Joe Hart retire at the end of last season, after a glorious three-year run in Glasgow that saw him prove the doubters wrong and lift seven trophies. The Hoops were linked with the likes of Caoimhin Kelleher of Liverpool, Andriy Lunin of Real Madrid and sevral others before ultimately signing Kasper Schmeichel as their new number one.

Schmeichel is very much in the twilight of his career but has looked solid in goal for Celtic so far. He was not the only addition they made to their goalkeeping ranks either.

Viljami Sinisalo was signed from Aston Villa for a transfer fee believed to be around £1 million. The hope seems to be that he will develop into a starter by the time Schemiechel's time at Celtic Park comes to an end.

One has to wonder what that means for the future of someone like Tobi Oluwayemi. He joined Celtic from Tottenham Hotspur and has already been on a couple of loan spells. He did well for Admira Wacker last season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he kept 5 cleansheets in 9 appearances, while conceding 6 goals.

Oluwayemi is about to spend this season out on loan as well and that makes sense, as his chances of playing as first-choice goalkeeper for Celtic were slim to none. Game time is very important at this stage of his career.

After two spells abroad, he will be staying in Scotland this time. As tweeted by Dunfermline Athletic, Oluwayemi has joined the club on a season-long loan.

We can only wish him the best of luck. Hope he does well at Dunfermline Athletic and develops into a goalkeeper capable of challenging for the starting spot at Celtic one day despite the presence of Sinisalo.
