Celtic player agrees personal terms as €5 million exit close
While Celtic's first arrival of the summer does not seem to be on the horizon as of now, it does look like an exit is getting closer. There are plenty of players in the current squad who did not get a ton of playing time under the management of Brendan Rodgers last season and a few of them might be set to depart, whether on a permanent basis or on loan.
When Giorgos Giakoumakis was set to leave Celtic, Oh Hyeon-gyu was brought in as the player to replace him. It would be safe to say that he has failed to match those expectations.
Oh has always proven to be a bit-part player for Celtic. He does have potential and has scored a few goals here and there, but overall, the South Korean international does not seem ready to be a regular contributor for the Hoops.
It looks like Oh has been offered an exit route though. And if the speculation is accurate then the striker might be headed to Belgium soon.

As tweeted out by Sacha Tavolieri, KRC Genk are very confident about Oh. An agreement on personal terms based on a long-term contract has been found with the striker. The Belgian club want to close the deal at €5 million plus bonuses. Talks are underway between both clubs.
Oh leaving Celtic at this point would not be viewed as a major blow. He barely featured in the second half of the 23/24 campaign as the club managed to secure a Premiership and Scottish Cup double.
But Celtic do need to sign another striker this summer. It is uncertain what the future holds for Adam Idah following the end of his loan spell. Ideally, fans would want the Irishman to be brought back on a permanent basis but the Hoops must have alternate plans.
