Celtic are not having the best of seasons but the win over Feyenoord will certainly have given the players and the fans a much-needed boost. The Hoops got themselves a 2-1 victory against the Dutch side in the Champions League. It was their first triumph at Parkhead in the competition in over a decade. The last one was back in 2013 in a game with Ajax.

The result meant that Celtic finished the Champions League campaign at the bottom of their group but with the same number of points as Manchester United. The club that has players like Raphael Varane, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes and more, and made significant signings in the summer.

In fact, the atmosphere at Old Trafford for their final group stage game came under a lot of criticism. They ended up losing 1-0 at the hands of Bayern Munich and were eliminated from Europe altogether.

Of course, when it comes to atmospheres on European nights, Celtic Park always gets a mention. But it looks like St James' Park has made an impression this season too. Paul Merson tweeted out:

Of course, Celtic have not made the most of their home advantage in Europe over the years. It was good to see them finally end their decade-plus wait for a Champions League win at Parkhead though. Hopefully, there are many more to come in the future.

There has not been much to cheer about for Celtic fans this season. So, the win over Feyenoord was an unxpected and welcome one for sure.

As for Manchester United, they seem to be stuck in a never-ending cycle. They seem to take a step forward under every manager but then go right back to square one. That was the case with Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Erik ten Hag seems to be on the same path.
