Celtic have quite a few problem positions in their squad. One of them is considered to be left-back. Greg Taylor's form has dipped this season, as has been the case with many players who had shined under the management of Ange Postecoglou. The Scottish international has been fitness issues lately as well.

On the other hand, Alexandro Bernabei has never really proven to be a good option for Celtic, since joining the club from Lanus. He was even expected to leave this January but has not done so till now.

That does not mean that Celtic should ignore their need for strengthening in that area of the pitch. And it looks like they have the chance to make a high-profile addition at left-back.

Could a PSG player make a late switch to Parkhead? As tweeted by Transfers Scotland, Layvin Kurzawa's agent has been in contact with Celtic to let them know he is available.

Celtic offered chance to sign €23 million PSG player

Kurzawa was once considered one of the best left-backs in all of Europe. He came up through the ranks at AS Monaco and was a standout player for them.

In 2015, PSG signed Kurzawa for a transfer fee believed to be around €23 million. For many seasons, he was a regular contributor for them. He even made quite a few appearances for the France national team.

Things have gone south for Kurzawa over the past few seasons though. He has barely featured for PSG and his loan spell at Fulham was not a success either.

On top of everything else, he has a long injury history. Thus, while someone like Kurzawa would be a high-profile signing for Celtic, it would be a move that would come with a lot of risk as well. Let's see if the speculation leads anywhere.
