Even though Celtic conceded 3 goals away at Ibrox, one player who did his job well was Joe Hart. The Englishman could not have done anything with the three strikers that found the back of his net but he was solid otherwise, with a double save being his highlight of the day. An experienced presence like him between the posts is always a positive in games like these.

Unfortunately, Celtic won't have Hart to rely on come next season. The Englishman has already announced that he will be retiring after this season.

Hart will leave behind big boots to fill for sure. Not only is he a solid goalkeeper but a leader for this squad full of youngsters as well. Someone whose achievements they can look upto and hope to emulate.

Ugurcan Cakir, the Trabzonspor captain, is someone Celtic have been linked with recently in their search for Hart's replacement. But, it looks like it might already be time to look elsewhere.

Celtic's £7.5 million offer to be rejected as club want €15 million

As reported by Kontraspor, it was stated that Celtic are ready to shell out a transfer fee of around £7.5 million if they convince Cakir. But Trabzonspor's transfer expectation from the move is at least €15 million.

Cakir ticks a lot of boxes when it comes to being Hart's potential replacement. He is experienced and very much in his prime at 28 years of age. He is a leader as well, being the captain of Trabzonspor. And on top of all that, he is also a regular for the Turkish national team.

While one can never be absolutely certain, someone like Cakir has the potential to be an excellent long-term goalkeeper for Celtic. But it is hard to imagine the Hoops being open to the idea of shelling out a €15 million transfer fee.
