Celtic decided to fill their need for a striker in January by signing Adam Idah on a loan deal from Norwich City until the end of the season. While highly rated, many raised doubts over the Republic of Ireland international's scoring rate. And it looks like their fears are coming true, with him yet to score a goal from open play. Both of his goals for the Hoops so far have come from the penalty spot.

If Idah does not start scoring consistently soon, it is hard to imagine that Celtic would consider signing him permanently at the end of his loan spell. And in that situation, they would end up needing another striker next summer.

Tottenham Hotspur's Troy Parrott could be the solution for Celtic's problems. For many years, the 22-year-old has been considered a supreme talent without showing it at the top level. He finally seems to have found his groove in the senior game though and is shining out on loan at Excelsior.

Excelsior might be relegation contenders in the Dutch top flight but that has not stopped the Tottenham Hotspur loanee from making an impression. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Parrott has scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists in 19 appearances and 1123 minutes in the Eredivisie this season.

Despite Parrott's new found form, it is hard to imagine him being a feature at Tottenham Hotspur come next season. Also, he will only have a year left on his contract come the summer.

So, he might be on his way out of Tottenham Hotspur soon. As reported by The 42, Ajax and PSV are weighing a move for Parrott in the summer.

Celtic should be right in that mix. Parrott is a fantastic talent finally finding his feet in the senior game. Parkhead might be the perfect place for him to thrive.
