Celtic need to sign a goalkeeper or two in the summer. Joe Hart, who has been the club's first-choice between the posts since arriving in the summer of 2021 from Tottenham Hotspur, has already announced that he will be retiring at the end of this campaign. On the other hand, Scott Bain's current deal is in its final few months as well while Benjamin Siegrist has also been linked with a Parkhead exit for a while.

Thus, it looks like the Celtic goalkeeping department is set to undergo some major changes next summer. And the club should consider bringing in a Manchester United player as part of their rebuild.

Manchester United signed Altay Bayindir last summer for a transfer fee believed to be around £4.3 million. He was a key part of Fenerbahce's team but has made only one appearance since his move to Old Trafford.

Unsurprisingly, Bayindir has been linked with a Manchester United exit already. The Turkish international will surely be looking to join a club where he will get regular football and Celtic could provide him with just that.

With Hart leaving, Celtic will need to sign a new number one in the summer. And someone like Bayindir could fill that role.

Do not judge the goalkeeper based on his time at Manchester United. He was an important player for Fenerbahce and has made several appearances for the Turkey national team as well. Also, he is 25 years of age and could be a long-term solution for Celtic.

Manchester United signed Bayindir for a transfer fee believed to be around £4.3 million. Considering how his time at Old Trafford has gone so far, one would expect that figure to have come down since his move. Now, it remains to be seen whether Celtic try to sign him.
