Odsonne Edouard was an instrumental part of Celtic's legendary Quadruple Treble run. Over his four years at Parkhead, the Frenchman scored 87 goals for the Hoops, managing to reach or surpass the 20-goal mark in three straight campaigns. He would eventually end up leaving in the summer of 2021 in order to join Crystal Palace.

One could argue that Celtic have managed to replace Edouard with an even better forward in the form of Kyogo. The Japanese international has been superb for the Hoops since arriving from Vissel Kobe and if he can score a couple more in this campaign, he will meet the Frenchman's feat of reaching or surpassing the 20-goal mark in three straight seasons.

On the other hand, Edouard has struggled to match his Celtic form at Crystal Palace. After a bright start to the campaign, the goals have dried up once again for the Frenchman. He has 8 to his name in this season so far, his best tally for the Eagles.

Interestingly, Edouard will be back in front of Celtic fans soon. As tweeted out by the club, the Frenchman will be present as one of the award presenters for the Player of the Year ceremony.

Of course, the mood that evening will be determined by the result of the Glasgow Derby. Celtic will be taking on the Rangers this weekend in arguably the most important game of the 23/24 season.

With the Premiership title race still tight, the result at Parkhead could have major implications. A win for Celtic would all but crown them champions. On the other hand, if the Rangers can come out on top, the two teams would be on the same number of points after 36 league matches.

A draw would favour Brendan Rodgers' side more. One can only hope that they bring their A-game to Parkhead at the weekend.
