Celtic make announcement fans had been waiting for
It would be safe to say that Celtic put in one of the most disappointing performances of the season, as they could not take their chance to return to the top of the table. With the Rangers losing earlier, Brendan Rodgers' side were handed a golden opportunity. But they lost 2-0 against Hearts away at Tynecastle Stadium.
That is a result that disappointed the fanbase. But considering how things have gone this season, it should not have come as a surprise.
That being said, one cannot deny that decisions made by the officials on the day affected the result of the match. There was a ton of controversy around the penalty given against Celtic as well as the sending off of Yang Hyun-jun in the 16th minute.
Celtic have now taken steps in the aftermath of the game. As reported by the club's official website, they will be appealing the red card issued to Yang during the match against Hearts at Tynecastle Stadium. Also, they have written to the SFA to raise serious concerns regarding the use of VAR and the decisions made within the game.

VAR remains a controversial topic. But while we have seen things improve somewhat in other leagues, things have remained the same, if not gotten worse, when it comes to the Scottish Premiership.
Clearly, something needs to change. The problems are not because of the technology but the decisions being made by the referees who are using it.
Of course, none of this will change the result at the weekend. Celtic had the chance to go back top and could not take it. Also, the momentum they had built up from the 7-1 win over Dundee FC is now completely gone and it is back to square one for Rodgers' side.
