Celtic looking to sign Copa America record breaker
Celtic have been looking farther and wider for talents in recent years. They have found a lot of success when it comes to signing players from Japan. Alexandro Bernabei also became the club's first Argentine player not too long ago. And last summer, the Hoops signed Honduran international Luis Palma.
Now, it looks like Celtic have their eyes on a Costa Rican player. And it is someone who made history at the ongoing Copa America.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, Celtic are tracking Costa Rica's Andy Rojas. Reports in his homeland claim that the Hoops are one of several European clubs eyeing him up.
Rojas made history when he made a late substitute appearance in the game against Colombia. In the process of doing so, he became the youngest player to ever represent Costa Rica at the Copa America.

Rojas has the ability to play across the forward line and he has been tipped to make a move to Europe in the summer. Clubs in Italy and the Netherlands are also believed to be keeping an eye on him on the back of his impressive displays for Herediano.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Rojas. He looks like a serious talent and if Celtic were able to win the race for his signature, it would have to be considered a major coup on their part.
It is worth pointing out that Celtic do not have a great record when it comes to developing youngsters in recent years. That is something that could end up going against them, if it ended up being a tight situation for Rojas' signature.
At the moment, we can just wait and see how things play out. Hopefully, Rojas will be playing his football in a Celtic jersey pretty soon.
