Celtic locked in talks to sign 26-year-old goalkeeper
Celtic's biggest need this summer will be to replace Joe Hart in goal. The legendary English goalkeeper had been the club's number one for the past three seasons, winning seven trophies during that period of time including three straight Premiership titles. He decided to hang up his boots at the end of the 23/24 season, keeping a clean sheet and winning the Scottish Cup in his very last match.
It is safe to say that Celtic have big boots to fill. It will not be easy to replace Hart, not only as a player but also as an experienced leader.
Celtic have been linked with plenty of goalkeepers in recent times. And it looks like they are in talks when it comes to signing a 26-year-old.
As reported by Football Scotland, Celtic are locked in negotiations with Sparta Prague for Peter Vindahl Jensen. Brendan Rodgers is an admirer of the player and hopes to bring him to Glasgow.

Vindahl currently plays for Sparta Prague and it might take Celtic a significant transfer fee to sign him from there. It remains to be seen if they are successful in getting a deal done or not.
Of course, he is not the only goalkeeper Celtic have been linked with in recent times. There are plenty of other names on that never-ending list.
One can only hope that they get the recruitment right. Goalkeeper is a unique position on the pitch and it takes more than just quality to succeed there at Celtic.
Just take a look at how things worked out for Vasilis Barkas. The Greek goalkeeper was signed from AEK Athens for a transfer fee believed to be around €5 million. While there is no doubt that he is a good player, he was never able to make it at Celtic.
