Celtic need to strengthen in a number of positions. One of them is goalkeeper. Questions have been raised about Joe Hart's recent form. The fact that he is set to turn 37 years of age soon cannot be overlooked either. Sooner or later, the Hoops will need to bring in a long-term number one and replace the Englishman, whose current deal runs out next summer.
Celtic have been linked with some high-profile names like Andriy Lunin of Real Madrid and Caoimhin Kelleher of Liverpool. But signing either of them would be pretty difficult.
Thus, the Hoops must keep an eye on alternative targets as well. And it looks like they are eyeing a goalkeeper currently on loan in the Premeirship from Bournemouth.
As reported by the Daily Record, Celtic and Rangers are both keeping close tabs on Will Dennis. The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Kilmarnock from Bournemouth but he is out of contract at the end of the season.
Celtic linked with move for Bournemouth goalkeeper
Kilmarnock are currently having a pretty good season and one of the reasons behind that has been the form of Dennis. Only Celtic, the Rangers and Hearts have conceded less goals than them in the Premiership so far.
Of course, Celtic will know all about Dennis' quality. The Hoops have already lost twice against Kilmarnock this season already. The Bournemouth loanee played in both those matches and conceded only once.
Thus, it is not hard to see why Dennis might have caught the eye of Celtic. Is he someone who can come in and be the long-term number one for the Hoops though? Time shall tell.
One thing that is for sure is that Celtic need to sign a goalkeeper in the near future. Let's see who that turns out to be.
