Celtic legend in talks over return to management
Although it has been a few years since then, the 2020/21 season remains fresh in the memory of most Celtic fans and perhaps always will. With 10IAR up for grabs, the Hoops were expected to put their best foot forward. Instead, they finished the campaign trophyless and 25 points behind the Rangers in the title race.
It goes without saying that that is something that will always bother a generation of Celtic supporters. And it has certainly had a negative impact on the legacy of Neil Lennon.
Lennon is a bonafide Celtic legend, both as a player and as a manager. Yet, many will always remember him for being the one in the dugout for the 10IAR season.
Lennon has been out of management since 2022, with his last spell coming at Omonia Nicosia. Since then, he has been linked with plenty of clubs and even international jobs. But nothing has materialised. Could we see him managing in Romania soon?

Just a few days ago, rumours emerged that Rapid Bucharest wanted Martin O'Neill as their next manager. Now, it seems that Lennon is in their sights as well.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, Lennon has held talks over a return to management. He has entered into discussions with Rapid Bucharest.
It remains to be seen whether the talks end up leading anywhere. It might be a decent club for Lennon to mark a return to management though.
While Lennon is not amongst the best managers in the world, he is somewhat underrated, largely thanks to how the 2020/21 campaign turned out for Celtic. The Northern Irishman has found managerial success elsewhere as well. He won the Scottish Championship with Hibernian and the Cypriot Cup with Omonia Nicosia, while also having a spell at Bolton Wanderers.
