Celtic heroes take cheeky dig at Rangers after defeat
By StevieMac
Celtic did their job on Saturday at home against St Mirren. The windy conditions made for a difficult and admittedly uninspiring first half. But the Bhoys breezed past the Buddies with a strong second-half showing. The 3-0 win was well-deserved and left the club top of the Premiership table by four points.
At that stage, the Rangers in second place had two games in hand. A Sunday match away at Ross County and that much-discussed contest to be scheduled against Dundee FC.
The first of those games has now been ticked off the Rangers calendar and it ended in a 3-2 defeat to Ross County. It was a blow to their fans for sure and even a late penalty could not save them this time around.
Celtic fans on the other hand were delighted with the result. As were club heroes Chris Sutton and John Hartson. They both shared their thoughts on social media with what seemed to be subtle digs at the Rangers' result.

Most would have expected Sutton to come up with a brilliant tweet regarding the Rangers' result but Hartson decided to join in the fun as well:
Both Sutton and Hartson were regular scorers in their spells at Celtic. They found the back of the net again with the two posts.
Of course, many will remember how Clement had declared his side as 'moral winners' following their 3-3 draw at home to Celtic. As Sutton notes, there was nothing of the kind for the Belgian manager's side after Ross County deservedly took all three points.
That result leaves the Hoops still ahead in the SPFL table by four points. But now, the Rangers just have one extra match in hand, which means that Celtic have a mathematical advantage in the title race.
