Coming into the Glasgow Derby, the Rangers were the clear favourites. They had won the Scottish League Cup recently and even topped their Europa League group. But at Parkhead, Philippe Clement's side struggled while Celtic seemed to rise to the occasion, winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Paulo Bernardo and Kyogo.
The result could signify another momentum shift in Scotland. The Ibrox club had made a bit of a comeback of sorts in recent weeks but on the day it mattered the most, they could not deliver against Celtic, handing back Brendan Rodgers' side control of the title race.
Todd Cantwell is someone who Celtic fans are not particularly fond of. And Chris Sutton appeared to have a hilarious message for the Rangers player following the Glasgow Derby.
Chris Sutton tweeted out that he would be watching DVDs of Callum McGregor if he was Cantwell:
Celtic hero sends brilliant message to Cantwell
Of course, it is important to celebrate Glasgow Derby wins. These games are always special. But it is also important to remember that there is a long season left to go.
Despite their three wins on the trot, Celtic's overall form has not been convincing at all. The Hoops need to improve in the second half of the campaign.
Hopefully, the Glasgow Derby win will give the players some much-needed confidence. At the same time, the club need to make some quality additions to the squad over the upcoming January transfer window.
There are a number of positions where Celtic are light on options or could do with someone capable of starting. It remains to be seen how many additions will be made next month. The club cannot make the mistake of looking at this Glasgow Derby result and deciding to take a step back in transfer activity though.
