Celtic put in one of their best displays in a while as they won 3-0 against Dundee FC away at Dens Park. The finishing left a lot to be desired but the Hoops did seem in control for the majority of the game and if they would have taken their chances, the scoreline could have and perhaps should have been more one-sided.

Back-to-back wins and clean sheets should give Celtic some confidence ahead of the upcoming Glasgow Derby at Parkhead this weekend. It is the final game of the year and the Hoops' chance to turn the momentum around once again.

Philippe Clement's side are heavy favourites going into this Glasgow Derby. Form often goes out of the window in games like these though and it is about rising to the occasion.

Celtic were handed some worrying news in that regard in the game against Dundee FC. Cameron Carter-Vickers had to be substituted off in the 55th minute, as it looked like the American was injured once again.

Celtic handed major Carter-Vickers injury concern ahead of Glasgow Derby

As tweeted by Sky Sports Scotland after the game, Rodgers said:

"[Carter-Vickers] started to tighten up a bit. We'll assess him & see where we're at in the next few days."

Carter-Vickers is Celtic's best defender. The American has had to deal with a number of niggling injury problems throughout the campaign though.

The Glasgow Derby is this weekend and it is very possible that he might not be able to recover in time to feature. Even if he does, it would be a risky move on the part of the Hoops.

That being said, other than Carter-Vickers, there is no clear option in that position. Stephen Welsh replaced him against Dundee FC. But will he get the nod in the Glasgow Derby? Or would Rodgers go for someone like Nat Phillips for his experience, despite his shaky performances? It feels unlikely that either Gustaf Lagerbielke or Maik Nawrocki would start.
