Celtic get closer to signing £8 million player after talks
It could be a busy final week or so of the summer transfer window at Celtic Park. Of course, Matt O'Riley has been linked with an exit for months and recent rumours suggest that Brighton & Hove Albion are ready to shell out a Scottish record fee to sign him. On the other hand, fans will be worried about Manchester City's interest in Kyogo as well.
Interestingly, they have recently been linked with a player who can play in midfield, up front and on the wing. It is Mateusz Bogusz of Los Angeles FC.
Bogusz has been in the form of his life for LAFC this season. And now, it looks like a move to Celtic might be on the cards for the 22-year-old Polish player.
As reported by the Daily Record, Celtic are pushing for a deal for £8 million-rated Bogusz. The Hoops are in discussions with LAFC. Talks are progressing well and there are unlikely to be any issues on agreeing personal terms with the player.

Due to Bogusz's versatility, it is unclear what role Celtic want to bring him in to play. But at this moment, O'Riley feels like the most likely candidtate to depart the club this summer despite the recent rumours involving Kyogo and Manchester City.
Of course, Bogusz has been superb this season. But he does not have a long track record of producing this kind of output in terms of goals and assists. So, one has to wonder whether his form is sustainable or not.
At the same time, if Celtic do end up signing Bogusz from LAFC then one would think that a move for Arne Engels of FC Augsburg would no longer be on the cards. Out of the two, the latter would probably be the safer choice, thanks to his record of success in Europe.
