Celtic could do with all the quality they can get at this point. The Hoops have looked like a shadow of themselves throughout this season. The only difference is that they were getting results early on in the campaign, and even that is not happening consistently right now. This is not the ideal situation to be in by any stretch of the imagination and a trophyless campaign feels very possible if things don't improve soon.

The wings have become a problem position this season. Arguably the best player of the Ange Postecoglou era, Jota left in the summer. And there is not much left to say about the situation Liel Abada finds himself in.

Luis Palma has contributed with goals and assists, but his performances remain inconsistent. On the other hand, Daizen Maeda has struggled to fit into Brendan Rodgers' system, as have many others. Mikey Johnston and Marco Tilio left on loan in the winter, Yang Hyun-jun is yet to convince and Nicolas Kuhn has not delivered since arriving last month.

So, Celtic could do with some quality on the flanks. And it looks like they have a French winger in their sights, who could be available as a free agent next summer, and already has 21 goal contributions to his name this season.

As reported by L'Equipe, Celtic and Augsburg are interested in Abdellah Zoubir. A return to France, six years after leaving Lens, cannot be ruled out either.

Zoubir currently plays for Qarabag and he has been excellent this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in 39 appearances so far.

Zoubir is 32 years of age, so he would not be a long-term solution. But on a free transfer, he could be a similar type of signing to Aaron Mooy last season.
