It looks like Celtic are heading for a high-profile pre-season tour this summer. After heading on tours of Australia and Japan in recent times, the United States of America is on the club's radar. And they are ready to take on not just one but two of the Premier League's biggest clubs before the start of the 2024/25 campaign.

The club had already announced their upcoming pre-season match against Chelsea. And the Hoops have now announced the names of the two other teams they will be facing in the United States next summer.

As reported by the club's official website, Celtic will take on Manchester City in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on July 23. They will also face DC United in Washington at Audi Field on July 20.

It would be safe to say that that is a fantastic set of matches. Celtic fans have a pre-season tour to look forward to. But before that, there is a lot of work left to be done in the current campaign.

Celtic currently have two trophies to play for, having come up short in the Scottish League Cup earlier in the campaign. They are currently top of the Premiership table but have played a game more than the Rangers, who are just a point behind. Both teams have the same goal difference.

It is very possible that the title race could end up being decided based on the results of the two remaining Glasgow derbies in the league. Of course, there could be another meeting between them.

Both Celtic and the Rangers are in the Scottish Cup semi-finals. So, they could end up meeting in the final at Hampden Park, if they can win their respective semis. Let's see how things play out between now and the end of the campaign.
