Celtic are expected to have a busy summer transfer window. The call of the hour is for them to add some experience and proven quality to the squad. The club have made plenty of project signings in recent years but rarely have things worked out. But it looks like the Hoops plan to stick to their strategy, to a certain exit at the very least.

Celtic could need to strengthen in the middle of the park this summer. It is uncertain whether Paulo Bernardo will be signed on a permanent basis after a promising loan spell from Benfica. On the other hand, the likes of Matt O'Riley and Odin Thiago Holm have been linked with exits after having contrasting seasons.

It looks like a 21-year-old midfielder is in the sights of Celtic. But other clubs are seemingly interested in the Swiss youth international as well.

As reported by the Express, Celtic are interested in FC Lausanne-Sport midfielder Alvyn Sanches. The club have sent scouts to assess him at various points in the 2023/24 season. But teams from the Championship and on the continent are also eyeing the 21-year-old.

FC Lausanne-Sport have not had the greatest campaign in the Swiss Super League. But on an individual level, Sanches has done quite well from midfield, which was good enough to catch the eye of clubs around Europe. His record for the Switzerland youth national teams is pretty good too.

Of course, many Celtic fans will already know of FC Lausanne-Sport. Moritz Jenz was playing for the Swiss club when the Hoops were first linked with the German defender.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Sanches. It would not be a surprise if Celtic do end up making a move for him. He is the profile of player they have been scouting for years now.
