Celtic did not strengthen their squad enough in the winter transfer window. That is pretty clear as their results have remained shaky in the second half of the campaign as well, and has allowed the Rangers to take a lead in the Scottish Premiership title race. As things stand, Philippe Clement's side look like the favourites to win the league from here, as the Hoops just can't seem to get it going in Brendan Rodgers' second spell at Parkhead.

One can only hope that they make considerable additions to their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window, no matter how this season turns out. And it appears that they have one of the best players in the English Championship in their sights.

As tweeted by Tom Collomosse, Rangers and Celtic are monitoring Callum O'Hare of Coventry City. Up to three La Liga clubs were also set to watch him play against West Brom recently.

There is interest from English clubs in the signature of the Coventry City standout as well. As reported by The Sun, Southampton have been tracking O'Hare for a while. Fulham have sent scouts to watch him while Everton have also kept tabs.

Returning from a serious injury, O'Hare was expected to struggle this season and take some time to rediscover his rhythm. Instead, he is currently enjoying arguably the best campaign of his career.

He has been a pretty consistent performer since joining Coventry City in 2020. But his contract is set to run out in the summer and it looks like the 25-year-old will become a free agent.

Naturally, a club like Celtic are believed to be in contention to sign him. Especially when you consider that Matt O'Riley is expected to depart Parkhead at the end of the season.
