Celtic make double contract extension announcement
Celtic have had an up-and-down season so far but they have the chance to put it all right by finishing it strong and winning a Premiership and Scottish Cup double. As things stand, the club have a decent three-point lead at the top of the league table and a home Glasgow Derby against the Rangers left to be played as well. Brendan Rodgers and Philippe Clement will also be in the opposite dugouts in the upcoming Hampden Park final.
Of course, winning trophies has not been rare for Celtic in recent years. But after the rollercoaster season that this has been, any piece of silverware will taste sweeter than usual.
What has been rare at Celtic in recent years though is the club's academy graduates coming up and making their mark in the senior team. The last one who was successful in becoming a proper starter for the Hoops was Kieran Tierney and it has been half-a-decade since he left for Arsenal.
There is some positive news on that front. As reported by Celtic's official website, Jude Bonnar and Corey Thomson have both signed new deals with the club, extending their stay for a further two years.

Bonnar and Thomson, both 18 years of age, have been important players for the Celtic B team this season. The former has been successful in establishing himself as a regular starter. On the other hand, the latter was enjoying a stellar campaign before suffering an injury.
Overall, both Bonnar and Thomson have a ton of potential. So, it is good that they are staying on at Celtic for the near future at least.
That is one problem that Celtic have faced in recent years. A lot of their youngsters, who have the talent and potential to make it in the senior team, have chosen to leave before ever getting to that level.
