Kyogo Furuhashi has unexpectedly been linked with a Celtic Park exit in recent days. There have been suggestions that a return to Japan could be a possibility. On the other hand, clubs from England and Germany are also believed to be interested in the forward, who has led the line for the Hoops for the past three seasons, winning seven trophies in the process.

Kyogo's numbers have dipped since the arrival of Brendan Rodgers as manager though. He has been left out of the Japanese national team squad on more than one occasion as well. Also, he is 29 years of age and does not have a lot of time, if he wants to play in a top five European league.

So, could Kyogo make an unexpected exit this summer? Well, he signed a long-term extension with the club not too long ago and it looks like they will want a significant transfer fee to consider parting ways with the Japanese international.

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic will want a transfer fee upwards of £25 million to consider letting Kyogo exit the club this summer. But their sources also say that he is looking forward to playing in the Champions League and has no desire to move on.

Kyogo has the chance to be a legend at Celtic. He has already won three league titles with the club and needs a bit more longevity to solidify his status as one of the greats.

The fans absolutely adore Kyogo. And he has already scored 73 goals for Celtic. If he stays at Parkhead, it should not take him long to go past the 100-goal mark in the Hoops.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Kyogo. But the general feeling is that the Japanese international will remain at Parkhead for the time being.
