This summer transfer window is expected to be an interesting one for Celtic. On one hand, they won the Premiership and Scottish Cup double last season and you never want to make too many changes to a winning formula. On the other hand, one cannot overlook the struggles at several points throughout the course of the campaign. So, it will be about finding the right balance.

Celtic are expected to make additions in a number of positions. Of course, signing a new goalkeeper has to be on the top of the priority list following the retirement of Joe Hart. We have seen the club be linked with a long list of them in recent weeks.

On the other hand, there is believed to be interest in bringing a couple of players back on a permanent basis after successful loan spells. Now, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Adam Idah and Paulo Bernardo.

Amid all this, it looks like Celtic might have gotten a couple of deals done already even though nothing has been announced. Hugh Keevins wrote in his column in the Daily Record:

"I’m hearing Celtic have a couple of transfer deals done, but as yet unannounced, and good money has been set aside for more experienced additions to a title-winning squad."

It remains to be seen whether the information is accurate or not. If the former, it is still unclear what deals have been done so far.

One can only hope that the Hoops get their recruitment right this time around. That was quite certainly not the case last summer and as a result, we are seeing several of those signings already be linked with moves away from Parkhead.

The decision to sign Idah in the winter does give hope that Celtic are back on track when it comes to recruitment. Nicolas Kuhn did decently as well but needs to show a lot of improvement if he wants to be a starter for the Hoops.
