Celtic might be disappointed to let their lead slip not once but twice against the Rangers at Ibrox but overall, a draw is not the worst result by any stretch of the imagination. They achieved the most important task of the day. That was to make sure that the title race did not get out of their hands. They were successful in doing that, even though the Ibrox club maintained their slight advantage.

In many ways, this match felt like the season so far in a nutshell. Celtic were cruising early on but did not turn up after the break, allowing the Rangers to get back into it.

There is still a Glasgow Derby left to be played in the league and at Parkhead. Hopefully, Celtic will do what the Rangers could not, and that is to make the most of the home advantage.

Emotions always run high on Derby Day. At Ibrox, both sets of players got into it at full-time, an incident that started with Callum McGregor and Todd Cantwell. Now, the Celtic captain has broken his silence on the matter.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, talking about the full-time incident, McGregor said:

"It was just two passionate teams trying to win the game.

“Sometimes it boils over, but it was nothing."

So, it looks like McGregor is not giving it much of a second thought. That is what you would expect from an experienced player like him, who has taken part in so many of these games.

McGregor will surely be a lot more concerned about not being able to guide his side to victory on the day. He made his return to the pitch at Ibrox, after spell out on the sidelines with an injury. His comeback will surely be a boost for the Hoops in the upcoming matches, as we enter the final phase of the league season, with all still to play for.
