Celtic break record as they make evening announcement

Celtic have made a brilliant start to the season, as they have won all five of their league games so far without conceding a single goal. That is the first time they have managed that feat in 118 years. On the other hand, the Hoops have already improved their performance in the Scottish League Cup by making it to the third round of the competition this time around.

It is not just on the pitch that Celtic are making and breaking records though. The club have been on a roll off the pitch as well.

Celtic announced their plc annual results for the year ended June 30, 2024, on their official website. And it would be safe to say that they are the best in Scotland by some distance, and historic in terms of Scottish football.

Celtic's revenue increased by 3.9% to £124.6 million, which is a record figure for the club. The Hoops also announced a profit before tax of £17.8 million.

Of course, Celtic are in the best position in the Scottish league in terms of finances. That is one of the key reasons why the Rangers have not been able to come close to them in recent years and it is only going to get tougher for them as the gulf continues to grow wider.

Celtic are expected to make even higher revenue next year, as they are set to bring in more as a result of their participation in the new look Champions League. On the other hand, the Rangers were not able to make the competition, which will only further increase the financial between the two Glasgow teams.

Of course, fans should not have to worry about their club's finances. But at the same time, it is good to know that Celtic are doing so well in that regard and deserve credit.
