Celtic put the pressure right on the Rangers with their 3-0 win over Hearts at Parkhead. The visitors had gotten the better of Brendan Rodgers' side in the past but on this occasion, it proved to be a one-sided contest. Kyogo's early first-half brace put the Hoops in control of the game from the get-go and Matt O'Riley got the third late in the second-half.

The result means that Celtic are now six points ahead of the Rangers in the title race, albeit having played a game more. It is possible that Philippe Clement's side win all their remaining league games and still fail to life the Premiership.

Of course, Celtic would like to wrap up the title race next weekend, when they welcome the Rangers to Parkhead. Nothing can be sweeter than virtually sealing the league by winning the Glasgow Derby.

A lot of these Celtic players have been here before, as has Rodgers. So, the edge goes to them when it comes to experience. And is the Norhern Irish manager playing some mind games ahead of the Glasgow Derby?

As reported by The Herald, Rodgers said following Celtic's win over Hearts at Parkhead:

"80 per cent of it now is mental. Physically in the main they are in a good place, a really good place.

"This stage of the season it is all mentality and mentally you can see we are in a really good place.

"Take nothing for granted, keep our composure. We've got a lot of work to do in the week, get our plan ready and then next Saturday we'll have a bit of fun then."

The last thing the Rangers might be thinking of right now would be about having a 'bit of fun'. A lot of fans of Scottish football believe that the Ibrox club do not do well in pressure situations.

Well, next weekend they have a game at Parkhead, losing which might spell the end of the league title race. It does not get more high pressure than that. But at the same time, they cannot let that distract them from the task at hand, which is their next match against Kilmarnock. Let's see how they deal with the situation.
