Celtic boss addresses big injury worry for Borussia Dortmund game
Celtic prepared their upcoming Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund in style with a 6-0 win over St Johnstone away in Perth. Kyogo Furuhashi scored a brace while Paulo Bernardo, Callum McGregor, Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah found the back of the net once each in what was an exceptional display from the Hoops.
That being said, it is safe to say that they will face a much tougher test in midweek. Not only will they be taking on last season's finalists in Borussia Dortmund but the game will also be played away at the legendary Signal Iduna Park.
One would expect Borussia Dortmund to at least start the game on the front foot and Celtic will need to be defensively resolute, which to their credit, they have largely been this season so far. But unfortunately, the Hoops might be without their best defender away in Germany.
Cameron Carter-Vickers has been dealing with a toe injury. He has recently missed training and did not play against St Johnstone this weekend. Unfortunately, there is no clarity on his situation yet, heading into the Borussia Dortmund game.

Brendan Rodgers is still unsure about Carter-Vickers' availability for the game against Borussia Dortmund. As reported by The Scotsman, the Celtic manager said when asked about the situation:
"I don't know, I'll know tomorrow.
"We'll see where he's at, and if he's not available then Auston came in and I thought he was excellent. You seen his pace and power. He's playing off that right side but he's got good balance in his game and I thought he did very well, so if Cam's not available we've got someone who can come straight in."
Let's see how things play out. Ideally, Celtic would like to have Carter-Vickers available for what could be their toughest game of the season and is a very important one in terms of their playoff hopes as well.
If Carter-Vickers does miss out, Auston Trusty would be expected to take his place in the starting XI. He was signed from Sheffield United on deadline day. The American international did pretty well against St Johnstone and kept a clean sheet but was less convincing the week before vs Falkirk.
