Celtic need to find a proper replacement for Joe Hart this summer. The Englishman retired at the end of last season, having won seven trophies in his three years at Parkhead. That is quite the achievement for a player who had been written off by most people before he had even arrived in Glasgow.

It is safe to say that Hart has left behind big gloves to fill. Not only will Celtic need to sign a good goalkeeper but also someone with experience and leadership qualities.

They have been linked with plenty of goalkeepers in recent times. But now, it looks like a new name has emerged, or to be more accurate, someone they have been heavily linked with in the past but not at all lately.

As tweeted by As Marca, Celtic made an official offer of €9 million to Fenerbahce for Dominik Livakovic. Ipswich Town are also following the Croatian goalkeeper closely.

Livakovic is a high-profile name for sure. He is a Croatian international. It was only last summer that he joined Fenerbahce.

Back then, Celtic were believed to be interested in a move for the Croatian as well but nothing ended up materialising in that regard. Now, it looks like they are back looking to sign Livakovic. It remains to be seen if they have btter luck this time around.

Most Celtic fans would be happy if the club were successful in signing Livakovic. He ticks almost all the boxes that they must be looking for when it comes to Hart's replacement. That being said, it will not be easy to get a deal done by any means. It remains to be seen if Fenerbahce are open to the prospect of parting ways with him just a year after his arrival.
