Celtic might have won plenty of silverware in recent years but one aspect they have struggled in is his promoting their youngsters to the senior team. The last player to have made that jump successfully and become a first-team starter was Kieran Tierney and it is safe to say that that was quite some time back.

There have been plenty of talented youngsters at Celtic since then but for one reason or another, things have not worked out for them. Take Rocco Vata for example. He has been fantastic at the B Team level but the chances have not come in the senior team as a reward. Now, he looks set to leave this summer.

Another youngster has already left the club. As tweeted by Celtic FC B, Magnus Mackenzie has completed a permanent move to Queen's Park.

The Scottish Championship side confirmed the news as well. As reported by Queen's Park FC's official website, Mackenzie has joined the club on a two-year contract from Celtic with the 19-year-old expected to make a big impression in the B Team.

We can only wish Mackenzie the best of luck as he takes the next step in his career. Hopefully, he will have a successful time in the Scottish Championship and beyond.

As for Celtic, it is pretty clear that they need to improve significantly when it comes to their development structure. Of course, one understands that it is not always easy for managers to hand out chances when the pressure is on them to win almost every game. But even then, there is plenty of room for improvement.

Let's see how things turn out over the coming months and years. Hopefully, we will see some of the club's youngsters have bigger roles in the senior team this season.
