Celtic might be going through a tough period right now but even then, there are plenty of players who are getting much playing time in Brendan Rodgers' team. That just goes on to show their position in the pecking order and for quite a few of them, leaving might be the best option at this point in time. Do not be surprised to see a few out-of-window moves over the coming months.

Celtic earned a lot of plaudits for the signings they made during Ange Postecoglou's time as manager of the club. But that does not mean that all of them were a success.

One move which certainly seems to have not worked out for them is the one they made for Yuki Kobayashi last year. The Japanese centre-back has not played a single minute of football this season.

As reported by Football Insider, Kobayashi is exploring other out-of-window moves after his move to HJK Helsinki collapsed. Roders’ side have said that he is free to find a new club.

It is quite clear that things are not working out for Kobayashi at Celtic Park. Even last season, under the management of Postecoglou, he had struggled to impress and ultimately slipped behind Tomoki Iwata in the centre-back ranks.

Since the arrival of Rodgers, he has not made a single appearance. So, considering the circumstances, it might be best for both parties to part ways.

It had looked like a switch to HJK Helsinki was on the cards for him, but that move seems off the table right now. Let's see if Kobayashi is able to engineer an out-of-window Parkhead exit over the coming months. Otherwise, one would expect him to depart in the summer, whether permanently or on a loan deal.
