Celtic agree deal for Ange Postecoglou signing's exit
Speculation about potential signings might have dominated the Celtic transfer headlines lately but several players are expected to leave the club over the coming weeks as well. The squad needs a refresh next month and it looks like we already know the first player who will be heading out of Parkhead.
The club made a number of great signings during Ange Postecoglou's first season as Celtic manager. But there were some moves which did not work out.
One of them was the signing of Yosuke Ideguchi. The Japanese midfielder was brought in from Gamba Osaka. He never really found his feet in Glasgow though and was not helped by his fitness issues either.
The club sent him out on loan to Avispa Fukuoka earlier this year and Ideguchi actually went on to have a great campaign, helping the Japanese side to their first major trophy and being one of the standout players in the J-League. Now, it seems that he is headed back to Japan on a permanent basis.
Celtic agree deal for Ange signing's permanent exit
The midfielder looks set to join the Japanese champions. As reported by the Daily Record, according to multiple reports in Japan, Vissel Kobe have agreed a £870,000 deal to sign Ideguchi from Celtic.
Of course, there were many Celtic fans who were open to the idea of giving another chance to Ideguchi at Parkhead. After all, the. club are struggling all over the pitch right now while the midfielder impressed away on loan.
But it looks like the decision has been made that this is the right time to part ways with Ideguchi. He did not really make much of a contribution during his time at Celtic Park. We can only wish him the best of luck for what is to come in the future.
