Celtic are expected to strengthen their squad this summer and are believed to be close to getting a deal done to sign Kasper Schmeichel in order to replace Joe Hart, who retired at the end of last season. If the deal did go through, it would represent their first signing of this window. There have been plenty of exits already though.

Sead Haksabanovic and Rocco Vata have left the club permanently, joining Malmo and Watford, respectively. On the other hand, Marco Tilio returned to Melbourne City FC on loan.

Now, it looks like another Celtic exit is not far away. In fact, the transfer offer has reportedly been accepted and a medical is set.

As reported by Football Insider, Oh Hyeon-gyu has jetted out to Belgium to undergo a medical with Genk after agreeing terms. A deal has been agreed upon between the two clubs, with the South Korean striker being permitted to fly out on Friday in order to finalise the transfer.

It is still unclear what the fee is set to be for Oh's exit. But there have been some rumours that the figure will be around €5 million. That would represent a transfer profit for Celtic, one that not many would have seen coming considering the striker's underwhelming time in Glasgow.

Of course, Oh's exit means that Celtic's need to add to their ranks up front is even more urgent now. Vata, who could have been a potential replacement, left as well.

That would leave Kyogo as the only recognised forward in the squad. Of course, Daizen Maeda can play there but has featured on the wings for the majority of his time in Glasgow.

There has been talk about Adam Idah being signed on a permanent basis. One can only hope that that transpires.
