Celtic make £20 million Cameron Carter-Vickers exit decision
Plenty of high-profile Celtic players have been linked with a move away this January despite the fact that the Hoops are in a difficult position right now and cannot really afford to part ways with key starters. The Glasgow Derby win might have given Brendan Rodgers' side some breathing room but one cannot forget how bleak things were looking just a month ago. They would not want a repeat of that in the second half of the campaign.
Cameron Carter-Vickers is one of the players to be linked with a Parkhead exit recently. The centre-back has been a standout performer for Celtic since arriving in 2021 from Tottenham Hotspur.
He has been dealing with fitness issues since last season though and there has been no consistency in Celtic's backline this season as a result. But that has not stopped Premier League clubs from being linked with the £20 million-rated centre-back.
West Ham United, Nottingham Forest and Brentford are rumoured to hold an interest in the American international. But as reported by Football Insider, Celtic will block offers for Carter-Vickers this month.

Thus, it looks like Celtic are not ready to part ways with Carter-Vickers in the middle of the season. And that would be the sensible thing to do as well.
Now, the hope is that Carter-Vickes regains his fitness and has a consistent run in the team, something which he has not been able to do this season so far. If that happens, one would expect Celtic to improve defensively immediately.
Of course, Celtic have been linked with a few centre-backs in recent times as well. But if rumours are anything to go by, a new left-back and another striker are seen as the priority targets this month. There are less than two weeks left in the window so the Hoops need to move quickly from here.
