Celtic's need to sign a long-term replacement for Joe Hart is not a secret. The Englishman's current deal with the Hoops runs out in the summer. He will be 37 years of age at that point in time. Thus, it feels unlikely that he will be handed a new deal. Even if he does end up staying on at Parkhead, it should be as a veteran player who can help the next number one settle in.

It remains to be seen who Celtic's next number one will be. They have been linked with a number of players in recent times.

A move for Andriy Lunin had seemed possible at one point but that does not appear to be the case anymore. The 24-year-old has performed exceptionally well when starting for Real Madrid this season and seems to have moved ahead of Kepa in the pecking order. Even if he were to leave in the summer, there are expected to be a lot of clubs interested whom Celtic might not be able to compete with.

Caoimhin Kelleher is another high-profile goalkeeper Celtic are rumoured to hold an interest in. And in his case, a summer exit is looking very possible.

Kelleher makes Liverpool exit decision amid Celtic rumours

As reported by Football Insider, Kelleher is ready to leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window. It looks like he wants to move on from Anfield in search of regular first-team football.

Kelleher would be a fantastic signing for Celtic and might end up being the long-term goalkeeper that they have been looking for for years. He has done very well whenever given a chance by Jurgen Klopp but it is hard to see him moving ahead of Alisson in the pecking order anytime soon.

As a result, a move away from Liverpool might make sense for Kelleher. Will it lead to joining Celtic? Time shall definitely tell.
