Caoimhin Kelleher is someone who has been linked with a move to Celtic for months now. The Liverpool goalkeeper has impressed whenever given a chance at Anfield but when Alisson Becker is fit and available, he finds himself on the bench. And that situation is not expected to change anytime soon.

As a result, there have been suggestions that Kelleher would look to leave Liverpool this summer in search of a starting role somewhere else. Celtic could be the perfect form for the Republic of Ireland international in that respect.

Celtic need to sign a new number one goalkeeper this summer. That is because Joe Hart retired at the end of the 2023/24 season, having won seven trophies during his three years as a starter for the Hoops.

Many fans have wondered whether Kelleher would be willing to make the move to Celtic. Now, we seemingly have an answer to that question. But a move still remains unlikely.

As reported by TEAMtalk, Kelleher is more than happy to make the switch to Celtic. But the Hoops would find the £20 million transfer figure difficult to meet and have seemingly informed Liverpool they cannot go beyond a £10 million fee.

It remains to be seen if Celtic are able to find some middle ground when it comes to a potential move for Kelleher. Otherwise, they would have to look at other options.

Celtic have been linked with plenty of goalkeepers in recent times, who are playing for clubs all across Europe. But out of all the options. the Irishman does seem like the best and it would be somewhat of a dream signing for the Hoops if they are able to pull it off. Let's see how things play out over the coming weeks.
