Some Celtic players are happily resting up on holiday after another busy season. Others have more games coming up with their national teams before they can get a break. As one of the club's most influential players gets ready for international duty over the summer, he has been sharing his view on all the pressures of playing for the Hoops and winning trophies.

Cameron Carter-Vickers had a season that was disrupted by injuries. When available, his presence in key matches was vital, especially in the last few weeks of the season. The American is a cool but commanding figure at the back for Celtic.

Celtic went on a great run to finish the season with a Premiership and Scottish Cup double. Carter-Vickers' availability was a key factor in that.

Right now, he is with the United States national team. Carter-Vickers was recently involved in a friendly against Colombia and has a game coming up against Brazil. After that, they will take part in the Copa America which kicks off later this month.

Cameron Carter-Vickers makes fantastic claim about Celtic

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Carter-Vickers said about life at Celtic:

"I really enjoy playing at Celtic. It's obviously a massive club and one thing I like about it is the pressure is always there.

"The title race this year got a bit close and you could kind of see from our fans that it would have been unacceptable for us to lose it. So that definitely helps you and keeps you on your game."

He has also shared some insight into how Brendan Rodgers helped steer his squad to a double last season:

"One thing he's done really well, kind of throughout the season, he's kind of keeping us as a group calm and confident."

That was certainly evident from Rodgers as he seemed to relish the challenges of the business end of the season. At times his media comments very calmly switched the focus away from his side and put the pressure on the Rangers and others. That approach was also seen on the pitch as the Celtic squad found their best form when it mattered the most.

Carter-Vickers looks to be set for a busy summer. Exactly how busy will depend on his selection for the United States team in matches and how far they progress in their tournament. Hopefully, he remains injury-free. Celtic will want him available and in top form before next season kicks off.
