Burnley in pole position to sign key Celtic target
Celtic look set for a busy summer transfer window. Most of the recent rumours have been surrounding goalkeepers, and understandably so, as the Hoops need to bring in a new number one to replace Joe Hart between the posts. The Englishman, who has been the first-choice for the past three seasons, will be retiring at the end of the campaign.
Goalkeeper is not the only position where Celtic will need to strengthen this summer though. Midfield could be in equal need of reinforcements if Matt O'Riley does end up leaving the club.
O'Riley leaving would be somewhat expected to be honest. Atletico Madrid tried to sign him in the winter and could potentially try again. On the other hand, top clubs like Manchester United and Inter Milan are believed to be keeping tabs on the Danish international as well.
Celtic should be prepared in case O'Riley leaves. And one similar player they have been linked with recently is Callum O'Hare of Coventry City. Unfortunately, it looks like they are not the ones leading the race to sign him.
Burnley in pole position to sign key Celtic target
As reported TBR Football, Burnley are in pole position to sign O'Hare. They are ahead of the likes of Leicester City, Southampton, Celtic and Rangers.
O'Hare has enjoyed an excellent season despite returning from a serious injury in the early phase of the campaign. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 10 goals and provided 4 assists in 34 appearances and 2007 minutes of football.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for O'Hare. It does seem to lie away from Coventry City though with his current deal there running out in the summer and there seemingly not being any lack of options for him to move to.
