Brendan Rodgers signing dropped from Celtic's Champions League squad
Celtic have shaken up their squad over the summer. Quite a few players were signed, albeit most of those additions were made towards the end of the transfer window. On the other hand, there were plenty who headed in the opposite direction as well. Overall, one would think that this roster is more suited to Brendan Rodgers' vision compared to the one from the previous campaign.
Celtic have made a bright start to the domestic season. They have won all four of their league games, opening up a five-point lead over the Rangers. The Hoops got past Hibernian in the Scottish League Cup as well.
One of the main talking points this season will be their performance in the new format Champions League. The fans will be hoping for better results and Celtic have been handed a comparatively decent list of fixtures when compared to the last couple of European campaigns.
The Celtic squad for the Champions League is now out as well on UEFA's official website. And Odin Thiago Holm is one name that is missing, while all eight summer signings have been included.

Holm arrived with a big reputation in Norway. Many had dubbed him the 'next Martin Odegaard'. It would be safe to say that he has not even come close to those expectations yet.
Holm has potential for sure but has not gotten much playing time at Celtic so far. In fact, there was a decrease in appearances for the midfielder, after he picked up a red card in one of the Champions League games last season.
Celtic have further strengthened their midfield this summer. While Matt O'Riley and Tomoki Iwata have left, they have brought in Arne Engels and Luke McCowan while Paulo Bernardo has been signed permanently from Benfica.
