With just four games left to be go, it is safe to say that this season has gone right down to the wire. Celtic could still win a double, one trophy or none, depending upon the results of the upcoming matches. For the time being, they are in the driver's seat of the league title race for sure, and there is a possibility that it could be decided at Parkhead next weekend.

The upcoming summer transfer window is going to be an important one for the Hoops as well. No matter how this season ends, one cannot deny that they have not been up to the mark in this campaign. Both the results and the performances have been inconsistent, to say the least.

There is a need to improve in several areas of the pitch. And Brendan Rodgers seems to have hinted at one of them in particular.

The expectation is that Rodgers will remain the Celtic manager beyond this season. And as reported by Football Scotland, he said:

"Joe at times does not have too much to do, he's had a bit more to do than I'd have liked this season. We will sort that out in the summer, but here he has produced some really important moments."

Thus, it looks like Rodgers potentially has an eye on sorting out the defensive side of Celtic's game in the summer. Could that be by bringing in more defenders? Or perhaps a holding midfielder?

Of course, the club will need to sign a new number one goalkeeper as well. Hart has already announced that he will be retiring at the end of the campaign, giving the club enough time to scout options properly before the summer transfer window.

There is a possibility that Celtic could win the Premiership and Scottish Cup double this season. But even if they succeed in doing that, expect this side to look a bit different come the 2024/25 campaign. For now, though, the focus has to be on finishing strong and with some silverware.
