Brendan Rodgers confirms he wants Celtic to sign £5m player
Celtic went through an up-and-down campaign but a good run of form at the business end of the season saw them finish with a Premiership and Scottish Cup double. An impressive feat without doubt but there is still a lot of room for improvement in this team as well. Naturally, fans are hoping for a good summer transfer window and some solid additions in order to further the gap domestically while also getting better in Europe.
One of the best signings Celtic have made in recent times is that of Adam Idah. Unfortunately, the Irishman was only on loan at Parkhead until the end of the season and the club do not have a buyout option included in the deal either.
Idah ended his loan spell in the best way possible though, scoring the winner in the final of the Scottish Cup against the Rangers. Understandably, most Celtic fans want him to be signed permanently in the summer.
It is not just Celtic fans who want Idah to be brought back in the summer. Brendan Rodgers appears to have the same view as well.

As reported by the Daily Record, while speaking on Premier Sports post-match about Idah and the chances of looking to strike a deal with Norwich City, Rodgers said:
"Hopefully very real. For me he was the catalyst of our season because we needed a different dimension up front. The big guy comes in, he has so much potential and played in some really important games.
"What I love about Adam is he is a big game player. He loves the big games and occasions. Hopefully we can do something. He has a long-term contract at Norwich but he is definitely one I would love to bring back here. At 23 with the potential and quality he has I think he can really push on in his career."
Idah certainly had a positive impact on Celtic's season. There were a lot of doubters when he arrived in the winter, largely due to his unimpressive scoring record at Norwich City.
Idah scored 9 goals for Celtic since arriving despite not being a regular starter. Two of those came against the Rangers. And it would be bittersweet if the Irish international's last appearance for the club turned out to be the Scottish Cup final he won for the Hoops.
