Another Celtic exit officially announced this evening
The Celtic squad has been significantly reshuffled this summer. Not a lot of arrivals have taken place. Kasper Schmeichel, Viljami Sinisalo and Paulo Bernardo have been brought in, while a move for Adam looks close as well. On the other hand, there have been plenty who have departed Parkhead, whether that be on a permanent basis or on loan.
One Celtic player who spent time out on loan last season is Kwon Hyeok-kyu. After struggling to get into Brendan Rodgers' team, he ended up joining St Mirren on a temporary basis in the second half of the campaign and impressed there.
It looks like Celtic are looking to replicate that success this season as well. Kwon has now joined a different Scottish club on loan.
That Scottish team is none other than Hibernian. The club's website announced the signing of Kwon on a season-long loan from Celtic.

This is another good opportunity for Kwon to continue adapting to the Scottish game and improving by getting some regular game time. Despite his solid spell at St Mirren, he was not expected to be a regular for Celtic this season.
So, a loan spell away to Hibernian seems like the right step for Kwon. One can only hope that he does well enough to find himself in Celtic's first-team plans come next season. That has to be the goal behind these deals.
There is clearly a ton of potential in Kwon. Now, it is just about fulflling that. He can take a step closer while at Hibernian.
As for Celtic, it looks like they want to make another addition in midfield. They have been linked with Hannibal Mejbri of Manchester United and Bobby Clark of Liverpool in recent weeks, while Matt O'Riley could be on his way out.
