Celtic have already said goodbye to three players this summer, whether permanently or on a temporary basis. Sead Haksabanovic was the first to leave, joining Malmo. He was followed out the exit door by Marco Tilio, who returned to Melbourne City FC on loan. And Rocco Vata brought an end to the saga surrounding his future by moving to Watford.

Now, another Celtic exit seems to be close to completion. And it is a player the clubs signed during the Ange Postecoglou era.

Oh Hyeon-gyu was brought in as the striker to take Giorgos Giakoumakis' place in the team. It is safe to say that his development has not gone according to expectations. The South Korean international has shown glimmers of quality here and there, but overall, it has not been a great stint in Glasgow for him.

Oh's time at Celtic might be coming to an end soon though. He looks set to remain in Europe though, with Belgium his next destination.

As tweeted by Sacha Tavolieri, Genk are currently closing the deal with Celtic for Oh. It is just a matter of time.

In the past, there have been suggestions in the media that Genk were willing to shell out a fee around €5 million in order to sign Oh. If that figure indeed turns out to be correct then it would represent a transfer profit for Celtic. Quite unexpected when you think about the South Korean international's underwhelming time in Glasgow.

Of course, Celtic already needed to sign a striker this summer. Now they might need to bring in two, with Oh and Vata both leaving. One would hope that Adam Idah is someone who will be signed by the club on a permanent basis following his fantastic loan spell although agreeing a deal with Norwich City has proven to be tough so far.
